P4 Project Manager

Jay Fetter

Jay is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BS in Education/Worksite Health Promotion.   He also has Master of Science in Administration (MSA) degree, with a concentration in health services, from Central Michigan University.

Jay's affinity to family medicine started while working as a health educator in Kansas City in the early 90's. He subsequently joined the staff of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) in 1993.

In his nearly 14 years with the AAFP, AAFP Foundation and AFMRD, Jay has managed several key education, workforce and public health initiatives including the AAFP student interest initiative, Task Force on Student Interest, Bristol Myers Squibb Awards for Graduate Education, Parke-Davis Teacher Development Awards, AAFP member affinity programs, Task Force on the Care of Children, "Arizona Study" measuring the factors that influence student choice of family medicine, AAFP Degree of Fellow, AAFP Placement Services, and P4 Residency Demonstration Initiative.

Jay is member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and American College of Healthcare Executives.
